Black Pearl Fully Assembled Wooden Ship Model
A must-have piece for Pirates of the Caribbean fans, this outstanding fully assembled wooden model of the Black Pearl captures the legendary pirate ship commanded by Captain Jack Sparrow. Originally known as the Wicked Wench, the Black Pearl is famous for her unmatched speed, capable of outrunning even the Interceptor and the Flying Dutchman in the film series.
Finished in a distinctive deep black hull and sails, the model is built using plank-on-frame construction and features three detailed decks. Each side of the ship is armed with a full row of metal cannons, while the bowsprit and three towering masts are secured with carefully hand-tied rigging lines. The yards carry hand-stitched unfurled linen sails, adding authenticity and movement to the design.
At the top of the foremast flies the iconic pirate flag with a skull and crossed blades. Additional details include metal anchors, a wooden rudder, deck-mounted cannons, wooden stairways, barrels, and a finely crafted stern cabin. The admiral’s quarter is especially impressive, showcasing handcrafted metal lanterns, decorative portholes, and intricate embellishments.
The model comes complete with a solid wooden base and brass nameplate, making it an exceptional display piece and a perfect gift for collectors, movie fans, or nautical décor enthusiasts.
History
The Black Pearl, originally named Wicked Wench, is a fictional pirate ship from the Pirates of the Caribbean film series. Recognizable by her black hull and sails, the ship used darkness as both intimidation and stealth, allowing her crew to move unseen at night. After being burned and sunk by Lord Beckett, she was raised from the depths by Davy Jones following a pact with Jack Sparrow, who renamed her the Black Pearl. Renowned as “nigh uncatchable,” the ship earned her legend through speed, agility, and an enormous spread of sails, making her one of the most feared vessels on the seas.
